Returns and refunds

A summary of the return and refund rights that apply when subscribing to a digital service, and the limitations that come with them.

In short: Aktum Legal is a digital service. As soon as you activate and start using it, the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies. Before activation you can withdraw and get a refund. You can cancel the subscription at any time — the next monthly fee will then not be charged.

1. Right of withdrawal for a digital service

Under § 53(4)(1) of the Estonian Law of Obligations Act, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to a digital service whose provision has begun with your express consent and where you have confirmed that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. When subscribing to Aktum Legal you give this consent at checkout and the service is activated immediately.

2. Withdrawal before using the service

If you have not yet started using the service after ordering, you have the right as a consumer to withdraw within 14 days and receive a full refund of the amount paid. To do so, write to info@aktumlegal.ee.

3. Cancelling the subscription

You can cancel the monthly subscription at any time in your account or by writing to info@aktumlegal.ee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until the end of the period and the next monthly fee is not charged. The already-paid current month is not refunded (no pro-rata refund is made).

4. Refunds in case of a technical error

In the event of a double charge, an incorrect amount or a persistent service outage, we refund the relevant amount to the same card or account the payment was made from, usually within 14 days of receiving the request.

5. How to request a refund

Write to info@aktumlegal.ee, stating the email address associated with the order and the payment date. We reply within one business day (Mon–Fri 09.00–17.00, +372 5384 1498).

6. Dispute resolution

If we cannot reach an agreement, consumers have the right to turn to the consumer disputes committee of the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee) or use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
